Catherine Allinson

Director
Catherine is an innovation and management specialist working at the nexus of financing, renewable energy and gender/ inclusion. She has over 13 year's experience in developing strategies and raising financing for rural SMEs and vulnerable communities; leading R&D in digital IOT systems for energy, water and waste; and as a consultant to the UN and INGOs developing action-oriented research for policy makers. Catherine is a member of the Technical Advisory Panel for the SIDS Sustainable Blue Economies Technical Assistance Platform; the global FCDO Frontier Tech Hub; and works regularly with the UKRI Innovate UK.

Gail Hurley

Development finance lead
Gail Hurley is a development finance expert covering incubation funds, blended finance funds, impact bonds, blue bonds and debt-for-development swaps. She is a specialist in innovative financing models for the blue economy in the Global South. With over 20 years' experience, she has held senior roles in Finance Earth (a UK-based impact investment advisory boutique focused on nature-based solutions), UNDP (as lead advisor on development finance in UN HQ in New York) and various NGOs. She speaks English, French and Spanish.

Jeffrey Lamb

Investment lead

Jeffrey is an expert in climate finance and programming, sustainability, impact investing, deal sourcing and business development with a proven track record of leading successful strategies, initiatives, and projects in more than 35 countries turning climate ambitions and sustainability goals into actionable, practical solutions for long-term economic value and growth. Jeffrey held previous positions with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the UN and the World Bank and with several national governments, companies and impact funds. He speaks English and Spanish.

David Tusubira

Digital technology lead
David has 15 years' experience in designing and developing original electronics and embedded IoT systems. A serial innovator with a background in robotics, he has also founded several start-ups focusing on IoT technologies.

Yalcin Yilmaz

Carbon market lead
Yalcin is an expert in developing end-to-end carbon projects for renewable energy investment and off-setting including waste-to-energy, wind, biomass and biogas. With over 12 years' experience and award winning experience in carbon project platform development, Yalcin supports Future Earth to provide the best carbon market solutions to a range of clients. He speaks Turkish and English.
