Facilitating breakthrough climate financing & resource management solutions

In the beautiful surroundings of the home of Pliny the Elder and over three consecutive years, Future Earth managed and facilitated and collaborated on developing breakthrough climate solutions to sustainable development financing and digital tools to better manage natural resources at scale whilst contracted by Ecosequestrust.

With world-leading experts from across the globe from IFC, World Bank, EIB, DFID, USAID, UNISDR, SDSN, ISD, Government  representatives, Mayors plus individual consultants from academic institutions, we grappled with real and abstract concepts to unravelled wicked problems and co-develop and author:

1. A Roadmap to 2030 to develop an integrated systems platform for natural resource management; 

2. Smart Ways to Mobilise Investment in City Regions with recommends on new financing models to support the SDGs

As a result, collaborations between UNISDR, ICLEI and several other leading international organisations were formalised.
